Sukedachi Collaboration with RICE on Construction Economic Report

Sukedachi Collaborates with RICE for Construction Economic Report

Sukedachi Inc., known for its leadership in the construction workforce matching platform, recently announced a partnership with the Research Institute for Construction Economics (RICE). This collaboration involves contributing to RICE's annual publication, the "Construction Economic Report," which provides critical insights into investment forecasts and challenges within the construction industry.

Overview of the Survey Collaboration

The "Construction Economic Report," released annually by RICE, is a key resource that offers multifaceted analyses of construction investments and industry challenges. For this year’s report, Sukedachi's think tank, Sukedachi Research Institute, focused its efforts on a specific theme: “Understanding the Mobility of Employment and Work Patterns among Construction Skilled Workers.”

Through this collaboration, Sukedachi utilized its robust network of over 220,000 registered contractors via its app to survey frontline workers—an approach not feasible with traditional research methods. The survey aimed to gather quantitative data regarding the employment transitions and labor mobility of these skilled workers.

More specifically, it evaluated aspects such as wage changes before and after job switches, the correlation between job changes and yearly income, as well as insights into workload fluctuations during busy and slow periods. This analysis contributes to a deeper understanding of real-world working conditions in the construction sector.

Details of the Findings and Report

The findings from this survey, along with the analyses conducted, are available on RICE’s official website under the "Construction Economic Report." Interested parties can access detailed results, including insights into the realities of employment in construction, in Chapter 3, titled "Current Status and Challenges of Employment in the Construction Industry."
