Shanghai Electric's Digital Technology Tournament: Inspiring Youth on World Youth Skills Day 2025
In celebration of the World Youth Skills Day 2025,
Shanghai Electric officially launched the
Digital Intelligence Technology Tournament 2025. This initiative aims to promote the long-term development of young talents by encouraging the use and understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies. The tournament serves as a platform for young innovators to explore and expand their skills while contributing to the digital transformation of industries.
The event invites all employees of Shanghai Electric globally to participate by submitting digital tools and research articles. The focus is on optimizing and advancing existing technologies, driving widespread digital and intelligent transformation in the industry, and fostering the growth of digital intelligence. This aligns with the theme of World Youth Skills Day, emphasizing the critical role of youth as change agents through their adoption of innovative technologies.
Shanghai Electric is committed to nurturing the development of its employees and recognizing their talents. To underscore this commitment, the company has implemented comprehensive training programs for all their employees, whether in managerial, technical, professional, or specialized roles. In 2024, the company invested approximately

Moreover, the development of high-value patents remains essential for establishing a globally recognized scientific and technological innovation hub. In 2024, Shanghai Electric organized seminars focusing on high-value patents, enabling participants to deepen their understanding and facilitate the growth of high-quality intellectual property within the company. By the end of 2024, they secured
6,823 valid patents, including a total of
3,276 invention patents.
