Understanding Visual Trends in Marketing through Getty Images

The upcoming workshop titled Brand Connect Vol. 2, organized by the Japan branch of Getty Images, aims to enhance the brand value for marketing and PR professionals in Japan. Scheduled for November 13, 2025, this event will feature special guest speaker Adrian Go Robin, Senior Manager of Brand Communication at SOMPO Holdings. Adrian will share insights on content creation processes and effective visual strategies that can elevate branding efforts.

According to Getty Images' consumer survey, VisualGPS, over 60% of consumers in Japan make brand decisions based on visual information, a trend that continues to grow globally. Brands must now differentiate themselves more than ever by creating emotionally appealing content that resonates with today's consumers.

During this workshop, participants will explore the characteristics of visuals that resonate with audiences. Key speakers will be Kate Luke, Creative Insights Director, and Sana Kishimoto, APAC Custom Content Manager at Getty Images. Both experts will analyze data derived from numerous content productions in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region, dissecting visual trends that shape brand stories. They will examine thousands of production briefs and case studies to reveal what drives consumer empathy and identify the gaps between expected and desired content.

The second part of the session will feature Adrian Go Robin again, who will delve into SOMPO’s approach to content creation and successful utilization of visuals. Attendees will also participate in group work focused on branding visuals, allowing them to share their experiences and challenges with peers in the industry. This collaborative environment will foster networking opportunities among branding, PR, and marketing professionals grappling with similar issues.
