Qoil Supports Sekisui Chemical's In-House Entrepreneur Program Revitalization
Qoil, a subsidiary of iRidge based in Minato, Tokyo, has taken significant steps to support Sekisui Chemical's internal entrepreneurship initiative known as the "C.O.B.U. (Community of Brave Unicorns) Accelerator". Launched in April 2023, this program aims to foster new business development among employees, allowing all members of the Sekisui Chemical group to apply and engage in entrepreneurial projects.
The Role of C.O.B.U. Accelerator
The C.O.B.U. Accelerator is designed to cultivate talent capable of tackling new business challenges and to build a company culture that embraces bold initiatives. The program spans two years, divided into three stages, encouraging participants to validate their business hypotheses and conduct practical experiments. So far, it has attracted over 100 applications from employees across the group for both the 2023 and 2024 fiscal years, creating an enabling environment for employees to transform their ambitions into reality.
Communication Design Support from Qoil
Qoil plays a comprehensive role in this initiative, from pinpointing challenges to planning solutions and managing creative production. During the initial discovery phase, they employed internal surveys and discussions with the program's management team to identify bottlenecks. They assessed how the program is perceived by employees, identifying gaps between the ideal and current state, and revamped the program statement accordingly.
In the planning stage, Qoil was responsible for conceptual design and copy development. They also devised creative promotional materials aimed at boosting applications for 2025. This included various marketing creatives, such as landing pages, tailored to encourage participation. Qoil's commitment to supporting ongoing promotional efforts and enhancing communication strategies is resolute.
Insights from Sekisui Chemical
According to Mr. Suzuki, the head of the Innovation Promotion Group in the Business Development Department at Sekisui Chemical, the demand for consistent communication design and brand reinforcement for the C.O.B.U. Accelerator program has never been greater. Partnering with Qoil's expertise in communication design has led to the exploration of effective strategies for increasing public awareness and engagement. Moving forward, Sekisui Chemical intends to continue fine-tuning this collaboration to maximize the program's impact.
