Hotel Metropolitan, located at 1-6-1 Nishi Ikebukuro, Toshima Ward, has announced an exciting addition to their dining selection at the Shunka tea room. Starting from July 1, 2025, a rotating main dish featuring the traditional Shinshu vegetable, Teizanasu, and the locally sourced Azumino Genki Pork will be available. This dish is part of the popular Shikisai Lunch Dessert Buffet, allowing diners to choose from six different main dishes that also include grilled meat, seafood, and tempura.

The new offering, Teizanasu no Sumibiyaki to Azumino Genki Buta no Hitokuchi Tonkatsu, promises to captivate guests with its unique flavors. The Teizanasu, renowned for its melt-in-your-mouth texture and sweetness, will be expertly grilled to enhance its natural flavors. Meanwhile, the Azumino Genki Pork, known for its clean taste and tender fat, will be served as bite-sized tonkatsu, perfect for enjoying alongside seasonal vegetables like fresh asparagus.

The Shunka tea room is designed to provide a lively and comfortable dining experience. Guests can enjoy the action from the teppanyaki and charcoal grilling counter, or relax in the spacious dining area, perfect for gatherings with friends, family, or colleagues. The inviting atmosphere ensures an elegant lunch experience.

- Monthly seasonal grilled dish
- Seafood trio grilled from Toyosu Market

- Four types of grilled skewers: beef tongue and local chicken tsukune
- Nationally sourced beef grilled (sirloin or fillet)

This July, guests can savor the Teizanasu prepared as a beautifully grilled main dish, where the flavor and texture truly shine when grilled. The Azumino Genki Pork tonkatsu will be served in an easy-to-eat size, complemented by colorful seasonal vegetables.

The meal concludes with dessert choices that include fluffy, freshly made pancakes right at the table. Additionally, a dessert buffet will feature six options, including small sweets, jellies, and baked goods made by the restaurant’s pastry chef, available for guests to enjoy at their leisure.
