ISFNET Group and Pasona's Commitment to Environmental Cleanliness
On September 27, 2025, the ISFNET Group, based in Minato, Tokyo, participated in the global environmental initiative World Cleanup Day, in conjunction with Pasona Group. The event took place at Senbonhama Beach in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, where a total of 37 volunteers from both companies joined forces to collect litter from the shore.
A Significant Cleanup Effort
The team successfully gathered around 1,800 liters of trash, including aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and various bulky waste. This endeavor reflects the companies' commitment not only to environmental protection but also to community welfare. The ISFNET Group aims to underline its role in the community through such volunteer activities, showcasing the impact that corporate responsibility can have on local ecosystems.
Transforming Waste into Art
In a creative turn, ISFNET Joy, a subsidiary of the group, plans to repurpose the collected plastic waste into accessories. These unique items will be featured at an art exhibition scheduled for November 2025 in Numazu. This project illustrates how recycling initiatives can inspire creativity while promoting environmental consciousness.
The Essence of World Cleanup Day
World Cleanup Day originated in 2008 when nine young Estonians inspired over 50,000 volunteers to participate in the removal of 10,000 tons of illegal waste in just five hours. The event aims to engage 5% of the population in cleanup activities and has expanded across Europe, Africa, and Asia. From 2018 onwards, this initiative has been celebrated globally on the third Saturday of September with a unified goal of cleaning up the Earth.
