Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Japan's iconic sacred mountains, the
2025 Three Sacred Mountains Rally invites motorcycle enthusiasts to embark on an unforgettable adventure. This thrilling event is organized by the
Japan Riders Forum, in collaboration with the
Three Sacred Mountains Tourism Promotion Council from Ishikawa, Toyama, and Shizuoka Prefectures. From
October 11th to 12th, 2025, participants will traverse a scenic route that connects these majestic peaks—
Mt. Fuji,
Tateyama, and
Hakusan—while engaging in a digital stamp rally designed to promote tourism across these historic areas.
Event Overview
Historically revered as centers of mountain worship in Japan, Mt. Fuji, Tateyama, and Hakusan represent the spirit of nature that has inspired countless generations. The
Three Sacred Mountains Rally will navigate a route dubbed the
Chubu Japan Triangle Route, renowned for its undulating landscapes that promise an exhilarating riding experience. This event not only serves as a platform for adventure seekers but also aims to bridge the rich cultural history of Japan with modern exploration.
Basic Rules and Participation Format
Start Point: The rally kicks off from the base of Mt. Fuji. Riders will begin their first day against the stunning view of this revered peak.

Checkpoints Explained
Participants will have the freedom to chart their routes by visiting various designated checkpoints throughout the rally. The
Way Points (WP) act as navigation guides for the journey. Here’s how the checkpoint system works:
- - Specified Way Points (SWP): 3 points
- Essential waypoints that must be visited in each participating prefecture. Riders must collect at least 2 from each of the three prefectures.
- - Check Points (CP): 3 points
- These checkpoints serve as gateways for participants, fostering interaction among riders.
- - Way Point Masks (WPM): 5 points
- Unmarked on maps, these hidden waypoints require participants to decipher clues provided at the start.
- - Service Areas / Parking Areas: 1 point
- Points can be scored at designated highway service areas and registered road stations.
Mid-Event Gatherings
On the second day, an early morning gathering in Toyama Prefecture will facilitate interaction among participants, offering opportunities to engage and exchange riding experiences. Local welcome events are also planned, with specifics available on the official website leading up to the event.
The Finish Line Celebration
Participants will conclude their journey with a mini-touring event to the summit of a ski resort, alongside notable adventurers
Kazama Fukashi and
Kazama Shinnosuke. This final gathering will further include local welcoming festivities, providing riders a chance to celebrate their achievements and build connections.

Completion Requirements
To successfully complete the rally, participants must:
1. Start from the designated starting location after 7:30 AM on October 11, 2025.
2. Visit at least two SWPs in each prefecture (totaling 6 points).
3. Stop by at least one CP to gain points.
4. Accumulate a minimum of 30 points from the above criteria.
5. Register by the day’s end on October 12, 2025.
Accommodations are not arranged by the organizers. It is recommended for participants to book lodging in Toyama Prefecture for the evening of October 11.

Eligibility Criteria
- - Valid motorcycle license required for riders (not mandatory for tandem passengers).

Vehicle Requirements
- - Registrable motorbikes meeting insurance policies for over 251cc engines are permitted.
- - Properly functioning odometers must be equipped to accurately measure distances.
