ArgusEye Enhances Advisory Board with Notable Experts
In an impactful move to strengthen its strategic direction, ArgusEye, an emerging leader in AI-driven threat modeling, has appointed three highly regarded veterans to its Advisory Board: Jane Holl Lute, who previously served as the Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Eric Byres, a well-known expert in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) security; and Joern Lubadel, a prominent figure in medical device security. This move is set to bolster ArgusEye's mission to empower manufacturers in critical infrastructure, consumers, and healthcare, especially as they navigate new regulatory pressures under the EU Cyber Resilience Act and FDA requirements.
The CEO of ArgusEye, Jackson Schultz, expressed his enthusiasm about the appointments, stating, "We find ourselves at a critical juncture where traditional methods of security assessments can no longer match the pace of manufacturing advancements. The combined experiences of Jane, Eric, and Joern will arm our engineering teams with the strategic insights needed to tackle modern security challenges worldwide."
Jane Lute, who also led the Center for Internet Security, emphasized the increasing demand for stringent security measures in product deployment. She noted, "Governments are finally recognizing the need for heightened security before products hit the market. ArgusEye rises to this occasion with advanced threat modeling that can be customized to the component level."
Eric Byres highlighted the transformation of threat modeling processes, comparing traditional methods to uncomfortable but necessary medical procedures, saying, "Previously, threat modeling was like a colonoscopy in product development—slow and painful yet essential. But with ArgusEye’s innovative Sentry platform, this continuous threat assessment has become so streamlined that it feels almost obligatory to conduct."
Joern Lubadel reflected on the pivotal role of security in the healthcare sector, observing, "The healthcare field operates most effectively when security measures evolve alongside the systems they protect. Continuous risk assessment allows us to foresee potential threats and address vulnerabilities proactively."
