Nishogakusha University Invests in Support Fund for Single-Parent Families

Nishogakusha University’s Commitment to Supporting Single-Parent Families

Nishogakusha University, located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has recently made a significant investment in the "First Fund for Housing Support for Single-Parent Families." This initiative leverages a private real estate fund structure to provide essential support for economically vulnerable single-parent households. The aim is to create a stable and secure living environment while also assisting in their quest for independence.

This initiative is not only focused on providing tangible resources such as housing but also emphasizes the importance of soft support mechanisms. By facilitating a step-up support system, the program aims to enable single parents to achieve a balance between childcare responsibilities and career development. This dual approach of hard and soft support is critical for fostering long-term stability and success within these families.

The fund has been realized through the collective efforts of various corporate and organizational partners who share the vision of supporting single-parent households. This collaboration underscores the community’s commitment to uplifting families that face unique challenges and financial struggles.

In line with the fund's launch, Nishogakusha University has expressed its agreement with the "Asset Owner Principles" formulated by the Cabinet Office in August 2024. The institution is dedicated to fulfilling its responsibilities in managing its funds to a higher standard, ensuring that the contributions made toward the fund will lead to the generation of educational opportunities for children and contribute to future societal support systems. Nishogakusha University believes this initiative aligns well with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting both social welfare and economic growth.
