Discover Yamanashi's Traditional Vegetable with New Seven-Eleven Products

The Introduction of Chōzenji-Nasai Products at Seven-Eleven

Seven-Eleven Japan, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is set to launch a unique line of products featuring Chōzenji-Nasai, a vegetable with origins dating back to the Edo period, across 656 selected stores in Yamanashi and Nagano Prefectures starting November 25. This initiative is part of the company’s commitment to local production for local consumption, which supports farmers and enhances local economies by promoting distinct regional food cultures.

Chōzenji-Nasai has faced challenges in recent years, particularly a decline in the number of farms cultivating this traditional vegetable. To combat this, Seven-Eleven is teaming up with local farmers to develop and release original products that highlight regional produce and foster greater awareness and appreciation of local agricultural products.
