The 13th International Art of Giving Day took place this year across a remarkable 190 countries on all six continents. This event, inspired by the vision of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, drew a massive turnout as supporters and enthusiasts engaged their communities in over 50,000 locations globally. Notably, in Odisha, where the movement has significant roots, celebrations were conducted in a staggering 20,000 places.

The Art of Giving initiative aims to touch lives positively and uplift communities, and this year was no exception. The campaign served as a platform promoting the theme 'Share to Shine', emphasizing that sharing joy leads to personal growth and better societal interactions. The distribution of volleyballs and nets in 3,000 locations throughout Odisha stood out among various activities, fostering sporting spirit and camaraderie among the youth. In total, 9,100 volleyballs were shared this year, further encouraging sports development and community ties.

Dr. Samanta reflected on the transformative impact of the Art of Giving, stating, "What I am today, I owe to the concept of 'Art of Giving.' I have received love and affection from people due to this movement." The overwhelming participation highlighted the importance of collective efforts in nurturing societal bonds.

A grand event was held in Bhubaneswar, showcasing moments of inspiration through performances and speeches. Bollywood playback singer Shaan delivered the official song for the Art of Giving, setting a joyous tone for attendees. Esteemed guests included prominent figures such as Rabindra Narayan Behera, a member of the Lok Sabha; tennis legend Leander Paes, and revered spiritual leader Getrul Jigme Rinpoche.

Recognizing outstanding contributions to social service, the prestigious AOG Hero Awards were presented to individuals like Dr. Bidyut Das, Ajay Agrawal, and Kumar Debadatta, each receiving a cash prize of 1 lakh rupees. The awards serve not only as recognition of their personal achievements but also as a testament to the power of dedication in service.

High-ranking officials, including the vice-chancellor of KIIT and KISS, Professor Saranjit Singh, were also present, underscoring the significance of educational collaborations in such movements.

Through its outreach, the International Art of Giving Day did more than celebrate a day; it ignited a spirit of camaraderie across diverse cultural backgrounds and established a foundation for future collaborations in community services worldwide. The movement's essence resides in elevating the human connection through the act of giving, showcasing that through shared joy and mutual support, society can indeed progress together toward a brighter future.
