Beko's 2025 Integrated Report: A Testament to Sustainability
Beko has recently unveiled its Integrated Report 2025, which provides a thorough overview of the company’s financial, environmental, and social performance over the past year. This report is more than just a summary; it is a reflection of Beko's unwavering commitment toward achieving net zero emissions. For the third consecutive year, Beko has earned a spot in TIME magazine’s global sustainability ranking, maintaining its leading position in its industry. This recognition underscores the steady advancements outlined within the report.
Key Achievements in 2025
The Integrated Report highlights several tangible results that Beko has achieved across its global manufacturing sites:
- - Energy Efficiency Projects: These initiatives have resulted in energy savings of 69,562 gigajoules (GJ) and avoided the emission of 5,297 tons of CO₂ equivalent.
- - Waste Recycling Rate: The company has reached a remarkable recycling rate of 98.6% at its manufacturing locations, approaching its target of 99%.
- - Renewable Energy Capacity: Beko has increased its installed capacity in renewable energy to 96 megawatts peak (MWp), up from 90.2 MWp the previous year, achieving 63.5% of its electricity usage from green sources, with plans to reach 100% by 2030.
- - Water Conservation: Various projects aimed at optimizing water consumption and harvesting rainwater have collectively led to savings of 219,114 cubic meters (m³) of water.
Transformative Industrial Practices
Behind these impressive metrics is a deeper transformation within Beko's industrial operations. Three of its production sites have been recognized within the Global Lighthouse Network by the World Economic Forum, with the Ulmi facility also receiving the rare Sustainability Lighthouse accolade. The principles implemented in these locations will be gradually extended across Beko's entire industrial ecosystem to enhance low-impact production methodologies. Currently, Beko operates 13 advanced automation factories globally, incorporating artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics, with an objective to expand to 17 by the end of 2026.
In alignment with the circular economy principle, Beko’s refurbishment centers have refurbished over 148,000 devices in 2025 alone. Since 2014, the company has recycled approximately 1.98 million appliances subject to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive at its own recycling facilities. Notably, 2025 also saw the incorporation of 31,665 tons of recycled plastics into its products, emphasizing Beko's commitment to sustainable practices.
The significant contribution of eco-friendly products is highlighted in the financial results, with 72.6% of Beko’s revenue in 2025 being attributed to products with a lower carbon footprint. This figure not only showcases the company’s extensive range of energy-efficient appliances but also reflects the growing consumer demand for environmentally conscious products.
A Long-Term Commitment to Sustainability
This continued recognition by TIME is critical, as it indicates that sustainability is a core tenet of Beko’s business strategy. Can Dinçer, CEO of Beko, commented, “Our factories are undergoing a dual transformation marked by both decarbonization and digitalization. These advances are well thought out and measurable, which our Integrated Report details specifically.” As the world gears up for COP31, he stressed the importance of demonstrating real actions over mere rhetoric regarding environmental responsibility.
The annual TIME ranking evaluates over 5,000 companies globally based on their environmental and social performances, transparency, and ESG reporting. Beko’s sustained position among firms meeting increasingly rigorous standards illustrates a business model where sustainability is structurally integrated across all activities, supply chains, and product offerings.
In addition to the Integrated Report, Beko has also released its second sustainability report following the Turkish Sustainability Reporting Standards (TSRS), aligning with Turkey's adoption of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on sustainability disclosure set by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). This report is publicly accessible and provides detailed insights regarding the company's climate-related risks, opportunities, governance, strategy, and performance.
