Introducing Tohoku Farm's Organic Bento at Hotel Continental Fuchu

New Delight: Tohoku Farm Bento

In an exciting culinary initiative, Hotel Continental Fuchu is proud to announce the launch of its Tohoku Farm Bento, beginning June 9, 2025. This special bento box incorporates fresh organic ingredients sourced directly from the hotel’s own agricultural endeavor, Tohoku Farm, located in Aomori Prefecture. With a commitment to sustainability and quality, the bento showcases the essence of seasonal offerings from Tohoku Farm, celebrated for its rich flavors and aromatic produce.

A Taste of Nature

The Tohoku Farm Bento features a carefully curated selection of seasonal vegetables, aromatic herbs, and free-range eggs from the farm. Utilizing a holistic agricultural approach that avoids chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the farm practices eco-friendly farming, harnessing thoroughbred manure for soil nourishment. From fresh organic vegetables to the rare Tohoku Farm brand eggs—called “Aotama” and “Akadama”—every bite embodies the harmony of nature and sustainable farming.

Imagine savoring a gourmet bento filled with:
  • - Dandelion Rice: A unique dish made with farm-fresh dandelion.
  • - Turnip Leaf Ohitashi: A delicately prepared side dish.
  • - Daikon Radish: Crisp and flavorful.
  • - Seasoned Eggs: A delightful treat from our farm.
  • - Fried Herb Tempura: Light and crispy fritters made from farm herbs.
  • - Fried Yamabuki: Another veggie tempura specialty.
  • - Kinpira Fuki: A delicious stir-fried dish.
  • - Nevaristar Chips: Crunchy and savory.
  • - Japanese Omelet: Soft and fluffy, prepared with our farm eggs.

This bento offers not only a meal but an experience steeped in nostalgia and the warmth of nature, reminiscent of traditional home-cooked meals.

Sustainable Practices

Tohoku Farm spans an impressive 100 hectares, with about 10 hectares designated for cultivating vegetables and various herbs. This eco-conscious farm began operations in 1917, transitioning to sustainable practices in 1987. The farm claims zero pesticide residues and boasts a cultivation method that prioritizes natural growth.

Our Tohoku Farm eggs, which are produced under free-range conditions, are available for ¥1,500 (tax included) and can be enjoyed at any of our on-site restaurants:
  • - Buffet Restaurant Tohoku Farm
  • - Chinese Cuisine Philly
  • - Restaurant Colt

These eateries reflect the harmony between the farm and the hotel, where nature's bounty meets culinary artistry.
