Tamarack Resort Unleashes Thrilling RMSHA Snowmobile Races for Spectators

Tamarack Resort's High-Octane Snowmobile Racing Event

Tamarack Resort recently became a hub of excitement as it hosted the Rocky Mountain States Hillclimb Association (RMSHA) for a thrilling two-weekend snowmobile racing event. This engaging spectacle brought together the region's top snowmobile athletes, eager to showcase their skills on the challenging terrain of Tamarack Resort.

During the first weekend, athletes faced a technically demanding course that ascended over 2,800 vertical feet, particularly on the Spine and Tango ski trails. The action was exhilarating, with participants ranging from youth enthusiasts to seasoned adult riders competing in multiple divisions. Notable performances highlighted the weekend, with standout racers such as Ilya Pearl Edwards from Ennis, Montana, Garth Kaufman from Alta, Wyoming, and Keith Curtis from Dillon, Montana, demonstrating exceptional skill and speed.

One of the major updates this year was the introduction of lift-served viewing for spectators, thanks to the Summit Express chairlift. Attendees were able to ride the lift and enjoy the spectacular views of both amateur and professional racers as they navigated jumps and challenging terrains directly below. This enhancement provided attendees with a first-hand experience of the excitement and intensity of snowmobile hillclimb racing, making for a memorable event.

Kara Finley, the COO of Tamarack Resort, emphasized the value of this partnership with RMSHA, stating, "This event brings an incredible level of energy to the mountain, and we're so grateful to be working with a partner like RMSHA. These races showcase both elite competition and the unique spectator experience that Tamarack offers."

Alongside the action on the slopes, guests had the chance to relax and enjoy amenities at the Mid Mountain Lodge, which served as the event's central hub, providing food, drinks, live music, and coverage of the races through FloRacing.

Fans are in for more excitement as the second weekend of RMSHA races is scheduled for April 3-4, 2026. The resort is encouraging local participants to sign up for the Local's division, a competition offering riders the chance to race against each other on a professional snowmobile course and compete for prizes.

Not only will the racing action thrill spectators, but the resort has tailored a festive Easter weekend lined up with activities. Attendees can partake in a delightful Easter Brunch at The Reserve, followed by family-friendly activities like an Easter Egg Hunt, photographs with the Easter Bunny, and seasonal crafts.

Guests planning to join this excitement can easily make arrangements by booking their lodging and brunch reservations through the resort’s website, tamarackidaho.com.
