A Special Cooking Day for Kids at The Strings Omotesando
On June 15, 2025, The Strings Omotesando will host a unique kids cooking workshop designed for families to enjoy together. Located in the heart of Tokyo's Minato Ward, this one-day event aims to provide children aged 5 to 10 a fun and educational experience in the kitchen. Under the guidance of Chef Takahiro Kimura, known for his exquisite wedding cuisine, participants will learn to create traditional Italian dishes, including Gnocchi and Panna Cotta.
About the Event
The cooking workshop allows children to engage their senses—seeing, touching, and creating dishes while developing a love for food. The class will focus on making Gnocchi from scratch, using potatoes and flour to create this beloved Italian comfort food. For dessert, kids will be introduced to the art of preparing Panna Cotta, a creamy Italian delight.
At the end of the class, a special lunch will be served featuring the Gnocchi creatively transformed into a gratin by Chef Kimura, along with the Panna Cotta for dessert. It’s a perfect way for kids to experience the fruits of their labor!
All participants will receive a chef's hat and an original completion certificate, along with memorable photo opportunities to cherish this unique experience. Additionally, participants will take home a detailed recipe guide to recreate the dishes at home, allowing them to practice their newfound skills during summer vacation or family gatherings.
