The SPAM® Brand Hits the Road with SPAM® Sushi
This summer, the SPAM® brand is turning heads with an exciting initiative in collaboration with Kroger. Following the earlier nationwide rollout of SPAM® sushi products at Kroger's Family Stores, including Ralphs Grocery Company, the SPAM® brand is taking its celebration on the road! Enter the SPAM® Musubi Mobile, a gigantic food truck shaped like a SPAM® Musubi—standing nearly seven feet tall, it's an eye-catching attraction for fans and sushi enthusiasts alike.
In honor of
National SPAM® Musubi Day on August 8, the SPAM® Musubi Mobile will make its way to selected Ralphs locations in Southern California. Visitors can enjoy
free samples of two delicious offerings: SPAM® Musubi and SPAM® Norimaki. But that's not all! The event will also feature live music, outdoor games, SPAM® brand merchandise, coupons, and more activities designed to create a memorable experience for everyone.
On August 7, the food truck will pop up at:
- - Ralphs, 260 S. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles (12-2 p.m. PT)
- - Ralphs, 11727 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles (5-7 p.m. PT)
And on
August 8, you can find it at
Ralphs, 2600 Victoria Blvd., Burbank, Calif. (12-2 p.m. PT).
For those unable to attend the Musubi Mobile event in person, SPAM® sushi products have now become a permanent feature at fresh sushi counters in Kroger and Ralphs locations across the country. This means fans everywhere can enjoy a taste of this savory snack and celebrate SPAM® sushi in their own communities. Additionally, SPAM® fans can grab a digital coupon providing free samples of SPAM® sushi at participating stores through August 9, 2025.
Dan Kubiak, senior brand manager for the SPAM® brand, expressed excitement about this culinary tradition, stating, "SPAM® sushi is a lasting culinary tradition that blends heritage, creativity, and global appeal. From the beloved SPAM® Musubi to inventive takes like SPAM® Norimaki, these dishes continue to resonate, especially across Asian American and Pacific Islander communities where SPAM® products hold deep cultural significance. Our collaboration with Kroger brings these ready-to-enjoy favorites to even more fans, whether they've loved the SPAM® brand for years or are just discovering its iconic flavor."
Kroger's Family Stores will feature a lineup of SPAM® sushi items, including the Hawaiian-inspired SPAM® Musubi and Japanese-inspired SPAM® Norimaki, now available at sushi counters nationwide.
