On December 10, MINISFORUM, a leading mini PC brand, held an exclusive product experience event in Beijing, in collaboration with semiconductor giant AMD. The event attracted over 40 industry stakeholders and media representatives, featuring presentations from top executives including MINISFORUM President Roy Jiang and AMD Greater China Marketing Vice President Jovi Chi. The speakers discussed the latest trends in AI technology and strengthened collaboration between the two companies. MINISFORUM MS-S1 MAX

The MS-S1 MAX is a mini workstation specifically optimized for AI processing, equipped with AMD's flagship APU, the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 (16 cores/32 threads), a high-performance Radeon 8060S GPU, and up to 50 TOPS of NPU. It supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5x memory, USB4 V2, dual 10GbE, and PCIe expansion, enabling it to perform local inference of large language models such as "Llama 3.2 109B" and "DeepSeek-R1 70B."

By clustering four units together, the system can process inference from large-scale DeepSeek models with 671 billion parameters, achieving approximately 65% reduction in volume, around 80% lower power consumption, and up to 77% total cost reduction compared to traditional GPU servers.

MINISFORUM AI NAS N5 Pro

The AI NAS N5 Pro integrates the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370 processor, supporting up to 144TB of hybrid storage and a maximum of 96GB of ECC memory. Its custom-developed OS, "MinisCloud OS," unleashes its potential for deploying large AI models locally, automated photo classification and tagging using AI, intelligent media library management, centralized data protection, and seamless integration with smart home devices, all in a secure local environment.

Experience at the Event

The experience booth showcased the MS-S1 MAX (four out of six units in a cluster configuration) and the N5 Pro (two units), with MINISFORUM engineers providing insights throughout the demonstrations. Attendees could engage in demonstrations of AI inference, storage operations, and cluster performance, directly experiencing the core value of the products.

Feedback from participants included astonishment at the impressive AI performance derived from a compact design and recognition of the benefits of leveraging advanced AI capabilities without relying on external data sources.
