In a remarkable achievement for a recent graduate, Alan Alwakeel from Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, Florida, has been awarded the prestigious Humane Science Award by the National Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS). This recognition was part of the 2026 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), a significant venue that showcases outstanding pre-college scientific research from students around the globe.
At this year’s fair, only five young scientists were honored with this award, further elevating Alwakeel's accomplishment. The award, shepherded by NAVS since 2002, champions scientific innovation that avoids animal testing, reinforcing the organization's mission to promote humane science.
