These findings underscore execution gaps; despite AI being a priority for boards, two-thirds of organizations still lack a clear profitability analysis, suggesting that adoption is often driven by external pressure rather than tangible outcomes.

According to the study, business leaders anticipate significant changes in how AI will redefine work and decision-making processes: 50% expect hybrid models where AI operates with partial autonomy while humans approve key decisions, while 31% foresee AI primarily assisting humans, and only 15% expect fully autonomous AI in the short term. By 2028, 81% of executives believe AI will increase labor demand, especially in IT, data, cybersecurity, and software development, signaling a comprehensive redefinition of roles and skills.
