AgiBot Launches Robotics and AI Solutions Enterprise in Kazakhstan
AgiBot to Establish Robotics and AI Solutions Enterprise in Kazakhstan
AgiBot, recognized as a leader in integrating artificial intelligence and robotics, has unveiled plans to set up a Robotics and AI Solutions Enterprise in Kazakhstan. This decision comes after a memorandum of understanding was signed by the prominent figures of both AgiBot and the Ministry of Digital Development and Aerospace Industry at the Digital Almaty 2025 forum.
This partnership aims to create a joint venture focused on the production and implementation of robotics and artificial intelligence solutions, with the objective of localizing technology and boosting its presence in Kazakhstan. Founded in February 2023, AgiBot's mission spans various sectors, ranging from household utilities to industrial applications, continually pushing the boundaries of robotic technology.
By December 2024, AgiBot's manufacturing facility located in Shanghai successfully produced its 1,000th robot—an achievement that signifies the company's rapid growth and commitment to developing versatile humanoid robots. Now, Kazakhstan has been designated as the first location for local production which will also facilitate exports to neighboring regions.
Zhaslan Madiev, the Minister in charge of Digital Development and Aerospace Industry, expressed great enthusiasm for this collaboration. He stated, "Partnering with an innovative company like AgiBot is pivotal for the evolution of our robotics industry. The localization of production will enable us to uncover new avenues in one of the most promising sectors of mechanical engineering. Additionally, it will help cultivate expertise and foster a national center of excellence in robotics."
The joint venture is expected to attract significant funding from private equity investors, including ewpartners and the Qazaqstan Investment Corporation. Plans are also underway for establishing a research and development center, along with installations for showcasing AgiBot's prototype robots at the Alem AI International Center for Artificial Intelligence.
Further aspirations include collaboration with Kazakhstani universities, aiming to initiate joint research projects and offer training programs for students focused on robot assembly and related technological skills. This initiative not only represents a fruitful partnership between AgiBot and Kazakhstan but also underscores the significance of nurturing local talent in the burgeoning field of robotics.
In conclusion, with its innovative edge and commitment to localization, AgiBot’s endeavor in Kazakhstan promises to enhance the nation's capabilities in robotics technology whilst creating job opportunities and facilitating knowledge transfer—key components that will empower Kazakhstan to emerge as a significant player in the global robotics arena.
