Asset Management Women's Forum Receives Special Award for Promoting Women's Empowerment in Tokyo

Asset Management Women's Forum Achieves Recognition in Tokyo

The Asset Management Women's Forum (AMWF), which is supported by Asset Management One Co., Ltd. in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has recently been honored with a special award at the Tokyo Women's Empowerment Award for 2025. This prestigious accolade is given by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as a recognition of initiatives that contribute to a society where women can choose various lifestyles based on their abilities and aspirations. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in late January 2026.

Reasons for the Award

The AMWF was recognized for addressing common industry-wide challenges, such as the limited number of female executives and role models. Initially established by four companies, AMWF has successfully expanded its network to 24 participating companies. It has effectively rotated leadership roles between the chair and vice-chair positions each year to prevent the workload from falling on any single organization. The forum’s commitment to nationwide networking and the sharing of best practices has been pivotal in driving forward the agenda of promoting women’s empowerment across the industry. Furthermore, AMWF has made great strides in enhancing the appeal of the asset management sector to younger generations, thereby increasing overall awareness.

Asset Management One, which has been instrumental in supporting AMWF’s initiatives, is dedicated to further promoting women's empowerment in the asset management field moving forward.
