TAOKE ENERGY Transfers Major 2MW/8.14MWh Storage Facility in Japan

In a notable development in Japan's renewable energy landscape, TAOKE ENERGY, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, has successfully completed the handover of a 2MW/8.14MWh energy storage facility located in Zao Town, Miyagi Prefecture, to BT Holdings, the holding company of BERTECNO, a subsidiary specializing in renewable energy development. This handover follows the completion of system interconnection on July 24, 2026, and was finalized on August 27.

The energy storage facility, designed for high-voltage applications, showcases TAOKE's comprehensive approach that encompasses development, design, procurement, construction, and system interconnection, establishing a strong foothold in Japan's growing storage market. Starting from December 2026, the facility is set to be operational, entering into the demand-supply adjustment market, enhancing its role in stabilizing the power grid.

TAOKE will continue to oversee the operations in the actual electricity market post-handover. The facility operates under an integrated model combining three critical functions: system integration (SI), energy management (EM), and aggregation (AG). This collaboration allows for stable operation of the storage facility while securing revenue opportunities within Japan's electricity market.
