New Year Firefighting Ceremony in Hino City



On January 11, 2024, the Hino City Fire Brigade will hold its traditional New Year Firefighting Ceremony, aimed at boosting the morale of the fire brigade members and promoting fire safety awareness among the citizens. This year’s event is set to take place at the planned location of the Ichigo Park in the Toyoda Minami district, adjacent to the Toyoda Minami Community Center, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

The ceremony will feature a variety of activities, including a parade led by brigade members, a procession of 24 fire trucks, and a synchronized water spraying demonstration by fire pumps. These displays serve as an excellent opportunity to showcase the hard work and training that the fire brigade members engage in throughout the year.

Residents are encouraged to come out and witness the dedication of the firefighters, who serve as essential leaders in disaster prevention and community safety. Their consistent efforts play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and peace of mind of Hino City’s citizens.

The schedule for the day is as follows:
1. Date and Time: January 11, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
2. Venue: Planned location at Ichigo Park in Toyoda Minami district, next to Toyoda Minami Community Center

4. Number of Members: As of December 24, there are 357 active members
5. Contingency Plan: In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be relocated to the gymnasium of Hino Seventh Elementary School.
