Hotto Motto's Special Eho-Maki: A Celebration of Flavor

Hotto Motto, a well-known provider of takeaway bento meals in Japan, is taking a delightful twist on their popular offerings by introducing special Eho-Maki from February 1 to 4, 2025. With 2,425 locations nationwide as of late November 2025, Hotto Motto is set to bring unique flavors and experiences to its customers this upcoming Setsubun festival!

Starting February 1, Hotto Motto will roll out an exciting line of Eho-Maki, expertly crafted by rolling some of the most beloved bento items into sushi-style rolls. There are three fun varieties to choose from:

• - Nori-Bento Roll: Filled with traditional ingredients such as fried white fish, tempura chikuwa, and kinpira, this is a nostalgic taste of Hotto Motto's bento offerings for just ¥540.
• - Karaage Roll: This satisfying roll incorporates Hotto Motto’s signature sweet teriyaki-style fried chicken and fluffy dashimaki tamago, making it a great choice at ¥600.
• - Chicken Nanban Roll: With its perfectly tangy chicken nanban and flavorful tartar sauce, this roll is sure to impress for ¥660.

Each roll also has a half-size option for those who want to try a little bit of everything!

In addition, Hotto Motto offers the Eho-Maki Triple Taste Set, allowing customers to sample all three roll varieties at once, as well as the Family Eho-Maki Set, which includes three rolls and two bowls of the popular tonjiru (pork miso soup) alongside an eight-piece chicken box.

Doraemon Plate: A Fun Twist

For younger fans and families, Hotto Motto is introducing the Doraemon Eho-Maki Plate, available exclusively through reservations. This fun plate features three half-sized Eho-Maki along with popular side dishes like fried shrimp, mini hamburgers, and even a delightful Doraemon pudding! Additionally, customers will receive three fun “Doraemon Enjoyment Stickers” to enhance the experience. It's the perfect way for families to celebrate together!

Advance reservations for Eho-Maki will begin in-store on December 20, 2025, and online on January 9, 2026. Customers can enjoy early-bird discounts of up to ¥220 for reservations made by January 28, 2026.
