Cboe Global Markets Strengthens U.S. Options Team with Meaghan Dugan's Appointment
Cboe Global Markets, Inc. (Cboe: CBOE), the premier network of derivatives and securities exchanges worldwide, has recently announced the appointment of Meaghan Dugan as the new Head of U.S. Options. This strategic move represents the ongoing expansion of Cboe's Global Derivatives team, which is bolstering its business development, market intelligence, and sales capabilities across the U.S., Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions. This expansion comes in response to an increasing demand for Cboe's derivatives products from clients worldwide.
In welcoming Dugan, Catherine Clay, Global Head of Derivatives at Cboe, expressed enthusiasm about the current phase of growth for the Global Derivatives business. She emphasized how the new hires strategically align with the evolving needs of customers seeking tailored solutions in an expanding global market. Clay stated, "Having local teams on the ground, supported by world-class research and content, will deepen customer engagement and enhance our global reach. Meaghan and the other recent hires possess the unique talents and expertise essential for driving our success on a global scale."
With over 20 years in the field, including significant roles at the New York Stock Exchange and Bank of America, Dugan has an extensive background in listed options trading and market making. As the Head of U.S. Options, she will oversee the development and strategy of Cboe’s U.S. options sector and is tasked with enhancing its competitive positioning and market structure. Dugan shared her admiration for Cboe's remarkable role in shaping the U.S. options market since its inception, highlighting her excitement to contribute to its innovative future.
Cboe’s recent recruitment drive also includes Steven Jorgensen as Head of Derivatives Sales for Europe and the Middle East. With two decades of experience, Jorgensen will focus on increasing the adoption of Cboe’s U.S. derivatives products in these regions. Additionally, Jason Beck has been appointed as Senior Director of Derivatives Sales, tasked with expanding the company’s U.S. presence and enhancing relationships with local clients.
To meet the growing demands in the Asia-Pacific region, Cboe has enriched its sales team by adding Hiroshi Okitsu, James Paik, Lydia Stringer, and Vincent Wang as key Sales Directors and Managers. This APAC focus is increasingly critical as Cboe anticipates more interest in its derivatives offerings in these emerging markets.
Furthermore, Cboe has expanded its Derivatives Market Intelligence team, bringing on board industry veterans Henry Schwartz and Ed Tom to strengthen analytical capabilities. These enhancements aim to elevate educational content for retail clients, while also promoting data accessibility around options markets and trading trends.
Cboe Global Markets remains committed to delivering innovative and comprehensive trading solutions across diverse asset classes, emphasizing trust and inclusion in creating a sustainable financial marketplace worldwide. By integrating exceptional talent and leveraging cutting-edge data analytics, they look to foster greater product adoption and client engagement in the evolving financial landscape.
