A Journey into the World of Kenji Miyazawa
From the realm of reading to the world of viewing, Hamae Noujima, a celebrated Japanese painter, invites us to explore the imaginative narratives of Kenji Miyazawa through his latest exhibition, "An Exhibition with Many Orders." Opening on October 23, 2025, at Nakajima Art in Ginza, this exhibition promises a captivating artistic experience.
Noujima's artworks resonate deeply, weaving together poetic tales that allow viewers to engage with stories beyond mere words. The exhibition draws inspiration from three of Miyazawa's enchanting works: "The Restaurant of Many Orders," "The Poison-loving Chief of Police," and "Three Graduates from Doukuma School." A total of 13 pieces, including both Japanese paintings and three-dimensional works, will be displayed, inviting attendees into the rich tapestry of Miyazawa's storytelling.
Exhibited Works
One highlighted piece is a Japanese painting inspired by Miyazawa's "The Restaurant of Many Orders," which presents a whimsical narrative about a restaurant that caters to peculiar requests.
