Innovative Career Development at KCCS
Kyocera Communication Systems Corporation (KCCS) has recently launched two pioneering programs known as 'Rental Transfer' and 'Side Project.' These initiatives aim to provide employees with unique opportunities to work with startups while remaining affiliated with KCCS for a year. The objective is to foster personal growth and organizational vitality.
The 'Rental Transfer' program allows selected employees to engage full-time with a startup for one year while still being part of KCCS. The first two participants are set to begin their new roles in April and June 2025. Additionally, the 'Side Project' offers involvement in external projects for about 20% of working hours, promoting cross-industry experiences within startups. This remarkable program will see two employees start their projects between May and July 2025.
KCCS, a system integrator born from the separation of Kyocera Corporation's management information systems division, has undergone significant changes since its establishment. In 2021, the company restructured its HR policies to emphasize self-determination and choice in career growth. This framework aims to support employees in managing their development while the organization backs their ambitions.
Following the introduction of initiatives like the internal internship system in 2021, KCCS is now broadening the horizons for empirical learning outside the company through these external internship opportunities. The dual launch of 'Rental Transfer' and 'Side Project' constitutes a groundbreaking example of cooperation with LoanDEAL, which leads the charge in implementing this state-of-the-art approach.
