Experience the Fun of Stargazing at Moritown's Binocular Design Workshop
On January 4, 2026, Moritown, a shopping center located in Akishima, Tokyo, will host an exciting event: the "Binocular Design Workshop & Winter Stargazing Event." This initiative is in collaboration with Vixen Co., Ltd., a comprehensive optical equipment manufacturer based in Tokorozawa, Saitama. Vixen aims to promote the appreciation of stars, as reflected in its company vision, and this event aligns perfectly with their mission. Participating in this workshop is not only an enjoyable crafting experience but also a wonderful opportunity to learn about the cosmos!
The workshop will kick off with participants creating their own binocular stickers. Using tracing paper, children aged 6 to 12 will have the chance to draw their favorite images or patterns and craft unique stickers. These stickers will be used to decorate binoculars, allowing participants to express their creativity and design a pair of binoculars that are truly theirs.
The times for the Binocular Design Workshop are:
Venue: Light Square on the 1st floor of Moritown East Building
Registration Start Time: 12:00 PM (Tickets will be given out starting at this time)
Eligibility: Participants must show a receipt of more than 1,000 yen (including tax) from Moritown's specialty stores and register for Moritown's official LINE account.
Capacity: Each session accommodates 25 participants. Children under the age of 12 need to be accompanied by a guardian.
Following the hands-on binocular design workshop, participants will have the chance to experience a stargazing session from 18:00 to 20:00. Everyone, regardless of whether they attended the workshop or not, is invited to this amazing opportunity to witness the beauty of the winter night sky using the decorated binoculars and Vixen telescopes.
