Launching on October 6th, 2025, the Umi Monogatari CUP will bring a unique twist to both communities, inviting players to compete for glory and exclusive in-game items.

The event features MJ across two formats: the app version and the arcade version, allowing for widespread participation and diverse gameplay experiences. Players can participate in two types of competitive matches: the East Wind Battle and Three-Player Battle, competing for the highest scores across both formats.

Tournament Structure

Participants will engage in preliminary rounds where players will need to earn a qualifying score to progress to the finals. The top scorers will battle it out from October 20 to October 26, 2025, where the player with the highest score during this period will claim victory.

In the app version, players participating in the tournament can unlock various Umi Monogatari themed items by meeting specific conditions, including the evolution-type Special Character (SSR) and customizable backgrounds, enhancing the gaming experience.

Preliminary Round Details

• - Preliminary A: October 6 - October 12, 2025, with a 24-hour entry window.
• - Preliminary B: October 13 - October 19, 2025, with a 24-hour entry window.
• - Finals: October 20 - October 26, 2025, also available 24/7.

Players can expect a treasure trove of Umi Monogatari themed rewards. Notable items include:

• - Evolution-type Special Character (SSR): Sam (2D) 2
• - Multiple Special Characters, such as Fire Bell
