In collaboration with JR West Japan, Kyujitsu Hack will launch an immersive detective game titled "Chase the Missing Journalist: Explore Kobe". Running from October 18, 2025, to March 31, 2026, this unique experience combines urban exploration with a thrilling narrative, allowing players to feel like true detectives as they delve into the streets of Kobe.

The Concept Behind the Game

Kyujitsu Hack has established a new label called "Ikukan" (いくうかん), which focuses on immersive experiences, elevating urban exploration games to a whole new level. Players can expect to discover the hidden enchantments of Kobe while solving puzzles related to the mystery of a missing journalist. The event promises excitement, turning players into detectives navigating through the alleys of the city, guided only by the clues left behind by the journalist. Can you unveil the truth?

The Storyline of "Chase the Missing Journalist"

The adventure begins when you receive an envelope from a colleague of the missing journalist. Inside, you'll find personal effects left on their desk, each containing clues regarding their investigation and ultimate disappearance. As you begin to unravel the mysteries hidden within the envelope, you become an integral part of the story, drawn deeper into the thrilling narrative.

Event Overview

The event consists of two main parts:

1. Web Part (Approx. 30 minutes): Engage in online detective work at your convenience. Using the journalist's possessions as clues, you'll solve puzzles to uncover the next location you've got to visit in Kobe.
2. Kobe City Exploration Part (Approx. 3.5 hours): Set between 9 AM and 8 PM, your investigation will commence from a specific point near JR Sannomiya Station. Explore the vibrant streets of Kobe as you piece together information leading to the resolution of this baffling case.

- Location: Explore Kobe City and stations along the JR Kobe Line, starting from JR Sannomiya Station.
- Duration: October 18, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
- How to Purchase: Available through the smartphone app or the Kyujitsu Hack! EC site, with no sales through station ticket machines or counters.
- Apps: Download the "tabiwa by WESTER" or "KANSAI MaaS" apps, where you can purchase your experience kit from October 17, 2025.
◦ Pick-up locations include various bookstores and information centers across Osaka and Kobe. You can also buy your kit online via the EC site, which will be delivered to your address.
- Price: 2,500 JPY (including tax) per participant.
