Caffarel Celebrates 200 Years with Special Seminar on Gianduja in Japan

Caffarel, a renowned chocolate brand from Turin, Italy, established in 1826, is celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2026. To honor this milestone, Yamamoto Shoten, the exclusive importer and retailer for Caffarel in Japan, is hosting a special seminar titled "Enjoying Traditional Chocolate Treats Representing Italy: A Special Gianduja Seminar" at the Eataly Ginza location.

Seminar Details


  • - Event Name: Enjoying Traditional Chocolate Treats Representing Italy: A Special Gianduja Seminar
  • - Date and Time: February 10, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM
  • - Participation Fee: 2,000 yen (tax included, comes with a ticket to the Chocolate Museum)

  • - Hazelnuts, a specialty of the Piedmont region
  • - The secrets behind Gianduja's deliciousness
  • - A hands-on experience: piping Gianduja under the direct instruction of a chef, along with tastings of Gianduja and other delights.

Featured Chef: Gennaro Volpe


Gennaro Volpe, a celebrated pastry maestro born in Naples in 1962, opened his own pastry shop at just 23. He continues to manage Pasticceria Caffetteria Volpe, a renowned establishment featured multiple times in Italy's prestigious gourmet magazine, Gambero Rosso. A winner of numerous pastry competitions across Europe, he received a craftsmanship medal from the Italian President in 2010. In 2012, he joined Caffarel as a brand ambassador and has served as the total coordinator for Caffarel Chocolate University since 2018.
