Playa Bowls Expands Its Presence with New Location in Westview Promenade, Frederick County
Playa Bowls Expands Its Reach in Frederick County
Playa Bowls, the popular superfruit bowl franchise renowned for its healthy options, is making waves in Frederick County, Maryland. Franchise owner Gene Sherman has just confirmed the addition of a new location at Westview Promenade, forthcoming in December. This new site will complement the existing Playa Bowls franchise located in the Clemson Corner shopping area and a third site planned for Urbana.
Playa Bowls is synonymous with fresh, wholesome ingredients, offering a variety of nourishing items such as açai bowls, pitaya bowls, green and coconut bowls, as well as oatmeal bowls, smoothies, and cold-pressed juices. Each bowl is crafted to order with an emphasis on health, ensuring no synthetic dyes or artificial additives are involved. The brand prides itself on being gluten-free and vegan-friendly, catering to an array of dietary preferences.
Gene Sherman, previously the owner of two Anytime Fitness franchises, sees a rising trend towards health and wellness among consumers, which he attributes to an increased focus on nutrition and fitness. Sherman expressed, "Healthy living has become a priority for many, and it starts with the right nutrition. Consumers are increasingly aware of what they are putting into their bodies and are opting for meals prepared with real, fresh ingredients."
The Westview Promenade location promises to be strategically beneficial for Playa Bowls given its high foot traffic and co-tenancy with similar quick-service dining options and MOM's Organic Market. Sherman believes, "Any loyal shopper of MOM's is likely to be receptive to our offerings, and we aim to leverage the presence of nearby retail shops and restaurants for greater visibility."
This shopping destination boasts an array of stores alongside sit-down and fast-casual dining options, making it a vibrant hub for the local community. With over 90,000 residents within a five-mile radius, including the affluent demographic of nearly 35,000 households with average incomes exceeding $85,000, the market is ripe for Playa Bowls’ health-focused cuisine.
Hill Management Services, overseeing the site leasing, confirms the appeal of Playa Bowls within the Promenade's selection of tenants. Danielle Beyrodt, Vice President of the management firm, highlighted that the addition of Playa Bowls enhances the variety of healthy food options available to local consumers. She stated, "Consumers increasingly consider their nutritional choices, and Playa Bowls fits perfectly into this evolving market. Its menu of açai bowls and cold-pressed juices will surely be well-received by the Frederick community."
As Playa Bowls gears up for its opening, Sherman is already eyeing further expansion in nearby Carroll or Washington counties. Given the enthusiastic reception of the first store in Frederick, he is motivated to continue extending the franchise's footprint.
In a world where nutrition is taking precedence, Playa Bowls stands out as an appealing choice, ready to serve the health-conscious community of Frederick County. This expansion signifies not just the growth of a brand, but the positive lifestyle shift towards better eating habits that many consumers are embracing today.
