Tiger Corporation, a leader in heat control technology, is set to launch an exciting event series called the "Tiger Donabe Caravan". This unique initiative will showcase its premier rice cooker, the "Donabe Go-Hoibi Cooking JRX-S100", known for bringing the traditional rice flavor to life.

Starting from August 29, 2025, in Yurakucho, Tokyo, the caravan will travel to seven major cities across Japan, introducing individuals to the delightful taste of freshly cooked donabe rice. This artfully designed cooker boasts a ceramic donabe container crafted using the traditional techniques of Yokkaichi Bango in Mie Prefecture. The end result? Exceptionally sweet and umami-rich rice, with each grain standing out beautifully.

The Event Experience


During the "Tiger Donabe Caravan", visitors will have the chance to savor delectable rice balls (onigiri) made from the highest-quality donabe rice. Attendees can enjoy the "Shifuku no Shio Musubi", a salt rice ball that emphasizes the natural sweetness and rich flavors of the rice. Furthermore, thanks to a collaboration with the renowned Gion Maruyama restaurant from Kyoto, three types of onigiri (salmon, karasumi, and mentaiko) will be available for selection, ensuring an exquisite tasting experience—all free of charge.

The first event in Tokyo will be held at the Yurakucho Station Square from August 29 to August 31, 2025, running from 11 AM to 5 PM each day. A limited number of 800 servings will be available per day, so early attendance is advised. At this event, each participant can only partake once, following the prerequisite of following Tiger's official social media accounts.

Culinary Excellence


The rice balls served at the caravan are crafted using rice specifically optimized for the donabe cooker. This produces a delectable texture that is both grainy and fluffy, an important characteristic for perfect onigiri. The "Shifuku no Shio Musubi" stands out for its use of the finest ingredients, including this season's Ichiho Mare rice from Fukui and refined salt developed using unique techniques.

The fillings for the other three rice balls include homemade karasumi, salmon, and mentaiko, ground to the perfect consistency to preserve their original flavors.
