Cousins Maine Lobster Expands to Oklahoma City with New Food Truck Launch

Cousins Maine Lobster Expands in Oklahoma City

Cousins Maine Lobster (CML), the renowned fast-casual lobster roll brand, is thrilled to make its much-anticipated return to Oklahoma City with the recent opening of its latest food truck. This event is particularly special as it coincides with the brand's 13th anniversary and the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. The new truck, which is the brand's 85th unit, signifies a significant growth milestone for CML.

The Oklahoma City truck is run by franchisees Jimmy Shoshani and Ahmer Sarah Khan, both seasoned operators within the CML franchise. Shoshani, who joined the brand back in 2014, has successfully launched and operated CML's Las Vegas market since 2015. After establishing a career in the wine and spirits industry, he transitioned full-time to the food truck business, recognizing the potential of CML's offerings. Khan, an emergency room physician by profession, joined the franchise in 2018. The couple, along with Shoshani, plan to expand their influence in the food business, having already established six CML trucks in Texas markets like Dallas and Houston. Oklahoma City marks their first venture outside Texas.

Khan expressed excitement about their new offering, stating, "We've received incredible support from communities across Texas, and we’re eager to bring that same passion, energy, and experience to Oklahoma." The timing coincides with the marathon weekend, designed to honor the city’s historical resilience and community spirit. Khan further emphasized the importance of returning to Oklahoma City, asserting their commitment to building strong community ties and delivering an exceptional CML experience.

The grand opening is set for April 26th at Angry Scotsman Brewing, located at 704 W. Reno Ave, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Attendees can enjoy classic Maine cuisine, featuring CML's famous lobster rolls, authentic New England clam chowder, and delightful whoopie pies. For ongoing updates about the Oklahoma City food truck schedule, patrons can follow Cousins Maine Lobster's local Facebook page.

Cousins Maine Lobster seeks passionate operators able to deliver high-quality food and exceptional customer service. The franchise offers a flexible model that allows aspiring food truck operators to launch their businesses within three to six months. This ease of entry, coupled with low overhead and labor costs, makes it an attractive opportunity for those looking to succeed in the fast-casual seafood sector.

Currently, the brand is eyeing new markets with significant consumer demand for premium seafood. Cities such as Seattle, San Diego, and specific areas across the Midwest are high on their priority list.
