Discover Quno's Latest Theatrical Adventure: 'Increasing Rooms'

Mark your calendars! Quno, formerly known as projecttiyo, is set to unveil its inaugural performance under its new name with the captivating play titled 'Increasing Rooms.' Scheduled for August 8 through August 10, 2025, this theatrical gem will be held at Gallery Arucaburu, located in the heart of Meguro, Tokyo.

Tickets are available now through Confetti, operated by Long Run Planning Co., Ltd., ensuring an easily accessible purchase experience for theater enthusiasts.

A Journey Through Endless Spaces

The tagline for 'Increasing Rooms' invites you to "Take a break from work. Get lost in memories. Embark on a grand exploration of adulthood." It sets the stage for a narrative woven around a multitude of rooms, each symbolizing different facets of our lives.

In this unique production, two actors and one video performer will guide the audience through an array of rooms that appear one after another, turning the search into a journey that occasionally reflects on personal pasts. This concept of 'rooms' serves as a metaphor for the accumulation of experiences—what we love, despise, and contemplate—manifesting them into physical spaces.

A Play for the Modern Adult

'Increasing Rooms' resonates deeply with anyone feeling adrift in their adult lives—those confused by changing environments or seeking transformation. It’s a thought-provoking piece that tenderly captures the evolution of both individuals and their environments.

The Creative Minds Behind the Production

Chiho Fujii (Director)

Born and raised in Tokyo, Chiho Fujii is a seasoned director and producer. A graduate of Tama Art University’s Theater and Dance Design program, she has been critically involved with Quno since its inception and holds a prominent role in shaping its creative vision. Starting from 2021, she has led creative series and became the representative after renaming the group to Quno in 2025. Fujii emphasizes the use of props and visual storytelling, valuing the open and collaborative nature of the creative process.

Yu Yamamoto (Playwright)

Yu Yamamoto, a playwright, is originally from Kagawa Prefecture, born in 1996. Also a graduate of Tama Art University, Yamamoto's work often explores the dichotomy of connection and disconnection among individuals. With experience as a social worker and current employment as a system engineer, he continues his theatrical pursuits passionately, with notable works like 'Convenience Love and Peace' and 'Happiness in a Street Corner without a Piano.'
