Watch Out Group Secures $100M CAD Funding

Watch Out Group has just announced a monumental milestone in its journey towards revolutionizing the manufacturing sector. The company has successfully completed a financing round, raising a significant total of $100 million CAD. This funding will be pivotal in deploying its cutting-edge technology—AI-powered autonomous micro-factories. These micro-factories represent the company's vision to combat pressing challenges in the industry, such as skilled labor shortages and increasing demands for production speed, quality, and traceability.

The advanced micro-factories aim to specialize in the production of high-precision metal components, catering to critical sectors such as aerospace, defense, electronics, and medical applications. The company's strategic partnership with LISI, a historical industrial partner, and EMTEK, a notable European strategic investor, has played a crucial role in making this funding round possible.

For nearly a decade, Watch Out Group has committed to research and development (R&D) at its Swiss research center, collaborating closely with LISI, a global leader in assembly solutions and structural components. Already, ten autonomous micro-factories are operational within a dedicated LISI aerospace facility in Europe, constituting the world's first fleet of precision manufacturing units driven by AI. Each micro-factory continuously learns from real-time data, contributing to a shared AI model that offers cumulative performance and data benefits at the fleet level.

Expanding Reach into North America and Europe

The initial deployment in North America is set to take place in Canada in 2026. This venture is backed by the AI Lab of Watch Out at Mila, the Québec Institute of Artificial Intelligence, along with the R&D and assembly center located at the YMX Innovation Aeronautics Space. This upcoming launch will not only demonstrate the capabilities of these micro-factories but also highlight their ability to quickly implement autonomous production sites that meet rigorous aerospace standards, while being replicable across continents.
