In the category of Safety Advocate, sponsored by First Student, NSC recognized Amazon for its groundbreaking initiatives amidst the national opioid crisis. By equipping over 1,200 North American facilities with naloxone, Amazon is taking significant strides to safeguard its workforce. This initiative not only highlights Amazon's commitment to emergency preparedness but has also set a standard for other corporations, urging them to adopt similar measures. Their proactive stance was demonstrated through appearances at key events, including the White House's Save Lives from Overdose Challenge.

Emergent BioSolutions was also acknowledged for its innovative campaign to increase the accessibility of NARCAN® Nasal Spray across various sectors. Their Ready to Rescue initiative aimed to equip workplaces with critical opioid emergency kits, normalizing the presence of life-saving medications just like any other essential supplies.
