Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4: Shock ‘N Awesome

Epic Games is set to roll out the latest season of Fortnite Battle Royale, titled “Chapter 6 Season 4: Shock ‘N Awesome,” on August 7, 2025 (US time), inviting players to dive into an adrenaline-fueled adventure. As part of the O.X.R. (Onimorph eXtermination Rangers), players will wield high-tech tools to combat a massive infestation of bugs on the Battle Royale island.

Overview of Chapter 6 Season 4

In this new season, the Battle Royale island has been overrun by pesky bugs, and it’s up to players to eradicate them. With various missions and rewards, players will take on the role of O.X.R. members and face the influx of bugs head-on.

Swarming Spots: The Hive

One of the hotspots for bug activity is The Hive, where players will receive their missions from O.X.R. headquarters before heading out into the wilderness to eliminate these nuisances. The former O.X.R. Weapons Lab, now known as the Rangers’ Ruin, has also fallen into the hands of the bugs, but it remains a treasure trove for high-quality items.

Eliminate Crawling Bugs

Players will encounter a variety of bugs during their missions, including small Swarmers, Bomber-type foes protecting their nests, and underground-dwelling Queens. As players defeat bugs, take down enemy players, or open treasure chests, they can level up their O.X.R. rank. Each rank advancement will earn players valuable loot through O.X.R. Drop Pods. Utilize explosive Plasma shots from the Bug Blaster and aerial attacks with the Hammerhead Choppa to fend off these invasions. Towards the end of the season, iconic power-up weapons like the Blade Blaster symbolizing Power Rangers will also make an appearance.

Bountiful Gifts from the Cocoons

Players can utilize new blessings to rip bugs apart, with these blessings found in O.X.R. treasure chests scattered throughout the island, or available for purchase from O.X.R. arsenals. Additionally, players can earn rewards by achieving specific targets during matches, such as clearing a group of highlighted spots.

Shock ‘N Awesome Battle Pass

Players can unlock both free and premium rewards by gaining XP within the Fortnite ecosystem. By purchasing the Battle Pass, players can unlock the UNSC Spartan, and later on, the Green Ranger will also be available. Completing quests commencing on September 16 (US time) will allow players to unlock the formidable costume of the Dino Megazord. Moreover, starting August 15 (US time), the shop will feature costumes for the Red Ranger, Black Ranger, Pink Ranger, Yellow Ranger, and Blue Ranger, in addition to the “Go Go Power Rangers - Redux” jam track packaged in the Mighty Morphin Bundle.
