HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series Debuts Exclusive Watch Faces at Venice Biennale, Merging Art and Smart Living

HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series Takes Art and Technology to the Next Level at the Venice Architecture Biennale

The Venice Architecture Biennale, taking place from May 10 to November 23, 2025, will showcase the extraordinary integration of art and technology through a collaboration between Huawei and the China Pavilion. As the Chief Intelligence and Technology Partner for the Pavilion, Huawei has embedded its innovative products – including the HUAWEI Mate X6, HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2" PaperMatte Edition, and HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2" PaperMatte Edition – into the Pavilion's design, highlighting China's rich architectural heritage with a modern technological twist.

To celebrate this technological partnership, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series is launching three exclusive watch faces inspired by installations displayed at the Biennale. These watch faces encapsulate the essence of architectural and artistic aesthetics in everyday life, offering users a unique way to experience the fusion of art and technology.

Inspired Designs

The Dunhuang Con-stella-tion watch face draws inspiration from the Atelier Alter Architects' installation of the same name. This artwork reflects the historical significance of Dunhuang as a crossroads of civilizations along the Silk Road, where diverse cultures converged and new art forms emerged. The design highlights four domes from the Mogao Cave 285, showcasing architectural elements from Greece, Persia, India, and China, symbolizing how various civilizations envision the cosmos. The architect imagines Dunhuang as a futuristic floating city that embodies the harmonious merger of cultures and the ethereal beauty of mist, serving as a modern homage to the concept of 'civilizational resonance'.

The Vault of Heaven watch face is inspired by an installation of the same name by Wang Zigeng, a prominent architecture professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and founder of PILLS. This artwork reinterprets the traditional architectural element known as the 'Caisson ceiling', using recycled green protection nets from construction sites in China. The dynamic design integrates bamboo weaving, an intangible cultural heritage, creating a captivating visual effect reminiscent of a phenakistoscope. This piece serves as a homage to the ancient 'Caisson ceiling' as a symbol of the 'heavenly palace' in temple architecture, weaving a narrative of interconnected moments that reflect the unique Chinese philosophy of nature, showcasing the poetic concept of heaven and the relentless pursuit of a better life.

City in China - Nature of All Things is inspired by the WAY-Studios installation, envisioning a futuristic city where the natural environment seamlessly integrates with urban architecture. This innovative design redefines the connection between skyscrapers through an advanced transport system that significantly reduces energy consumption. It also emphasizes the idea of organic growth of buildings, much like living organisms.

Huawei utilizes these watch faces as a medium to seamlessly integrate the China Pavilion's theme of 'CO-EXIST' into its cutting-edge technology products, successfully bridging the gap between art, architecture, and wearable technology. This innovative approach expands the boundaries of cultural expression. Users of the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series can now experience these unique watch faces that elegantly and functionally blend Eastern aesthetics with intelligent living.

Huawei has consistently championed an open, diverse, and global perspective, drawing inspiration from global artistic movements and continually exploring the limitless possibilities of design. The company remains dedicated to pioneering the aesthetic of technology, aiming to provide consumers worldwide with premium and stylish technology experiences that enable a more personalized lifestyle.
