Crown Racing Showcases Four-Driver Team at VIR for Radical World Finals
Crown Racing at the Radical World Finals
Crown Racing is gearing up for an exhilarating week at the Radical World Finals, held at the picturesque Virginia International Raceway (VIR). This prestigious event will showcase some of the best talent in the motorsport world, and Crown Racing is proud to support a robust four-driver lineup in the PRO 1340 class. The event runs from November 6 to 9, coinciding with the inaugural North American Veterans Race of Remembrance, offering a unique tribute to veterans and their families.
Having recently acquired Radical Arizona, Crown Racing's participation at VIR marks a significant milestone in their journey, encompassing both competitive spirit and a deeper commitment to the Radical racing community. The team returns to the track with its PRO 1340 “super” squad: Chris McMurry, Brady Clapham, Jace Bacon, and Seth Bacon, a mix of seasoned veterans and rising stars.
Chris McMurry, known for his impressive background in the American Le Mans Series and as a former LMP2 title contender, enters the race riding high after sweeping the PRO 1340 class at Laguna Seca earlier this season. Clapham, the newly crowned Radical Cup North America PRO 1340 Champion, is looking to finalize his title-winning season on a high note. Rounding out the lineup are Jace Bacon, a champion at the Apex Motor Club, and his father, Seth Bacon, whose wealth of competitive experience promises to lend consistency and resilience to the team's performance.
Curtis Brown, the CEO of Crown Concepts, emphasized the significance of discipline in the World Finals: "You get lots of windows to make the car right, the driver right, and the calls right. VIR makes you discern all of it.” Team engineer Joey Martin reiterated this, explaining the nuance of performance at VIR: "When the car is in its window, the driver can breathe. That's the goal every run."
The Radical World Finals not only serve as a platform for competition but also as a celebration of motorsports camaraderie. Teams from across North America and beyond will gather for more than five hours of exhilarating racing on one of America's most iconic circuits. This year’s finals hold particular importance for Crown Racing as it represents their first World Finals since formally integrating Radical Arizona into the Crown Concepts family.
In addition to competitive racing, the event also marks a commitment to community and honors veterans through the Veterans Race of Remembrance, merging high-octane racing with a meaningful tribute. For Crown Racing, this embodies both competition and continuity as they strengthen their presence in the Radical racing scene.
