KAKUSIN Takes on MEGA CANVAS Project in Osaka
In an exciting development for the art and technology scene in Japan,
KAKUSIN Co., Ltd., based in Minato, Tokyo, has announced its involvement in the
MEGA CANVAS project. This ambitious undertaking is set to run from
June 6 to October 13, 2025, in collaboration with the
Kansai Innovation Center and will feature a remarkable projection mapping display that promises to captivate audiences.
Project Overview
The MEGA CANVAS project will take place at the
Yume Island Logistics Center in Osaka, utilizing its expansive west wall as a massive canvas for projection mapping. This gigantic display will measure an impressive
10 meters tall and
130 meters wide, allowing for a range of visual storytelling across various themes. Projections will occur daily from sunset to
9:30 PM, adapting slightly each day to the timing of sunset.
Themes and Objectives
The project is built around five key themes:
Time, Dreams, Smiles, Community, and
Culture. It aims to invigorate the local area by sparking creativity and engagement through the use of public space in innovative ways. It stands as a landmark initiative, being the
first of its kind in Osaka, and serves to inspire similar projects across the country. The organizers hope this will encourage the utilization of otherwise unused walls and spaces across Japan, enhancing local vitality.
The themes selected are not just artistic; they carry significant objectives. The project seeks to:
- - Promote the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025
- - Showcase the allure of Osaka and Kansai
- - Foster the development of future generations, including children and students
The organizers envision a collaborative effort, co-creating the MEGA CANVAS experience with various stakeholders.

- - Projecting artistic infographics and a gigantic clock, tying into various data points related to EXPO 2025.
