Prospera's Annual Entrepreneurship Celebration



On October 17, 2025, Prospera hosted its much-anticipated annual entrepreneurship celebration at the Orlando Science Center, spotlighting the remarkable growth and resilience of local businesses in Central Florida. This year’s theme was "Together We Thrive,” emphasizing the collective efforts that have been pivotal in empowering Hispanic entrepreneurs throughout the region.

The event, proudly presented by OUC, brought together a diverse group of leaders, supporters, and partners dedicated to fostering economic development. Among the highlights of the evening was the recognition of local small business owners who have thrived with the assistance of Prospera. These honorees exemplified the spirit of innovation and dedication that drives the local economy.

Honorees of the Evening



This year’s 2025 Prospera Success Stories included a distinguished lineup of entrepreneurs:

  • - Lorena Camacho and Jaime Navarro, owners of JL Evolution Tech
  • - Llohad Samuel Bencomo, owner of FlooringMaster of Apopka
  • - Nelson Mendez, owner of Mr. Cappuccino

Each honoree represented not only the success that comes from hard work but also the crucial support that Prospera provides through its resources and guidance. This year marks a significant milestone as Prospera celebrates 30 years of fostering entrepreneurial growth.

Celebrating Community Impact



Leading the event, Prospera’s Regional Vice President, Katia Medina, underscored the organization's impact on small businesses and local entrepreneurship. She shared heartening stories of how Prospera has transformed the landscape of business in Central Florida. The gathering was made even more meaningful with proclamations from both Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings, who recognized the organization’s three decades of service dedicated to regional prosperity. Notably, October 15 was designated "Prospera Day” in Orange County as part of the commemorative recognition.

In addition to the award presentations, the evening featured an engaging panel discussion moderated by Luz Aviles, representing the event's presenting sponsor, OUC. Esteemed members of Prospera's Clients' Circle participated, including:
