Exciting Opportunity for Whisky Enthusiasts
The deadline is fast approaching! The Whisky Culture Institute, based in Shibuya, Tokyo, is urging whisky aficionados to register for the 22nd Whisky Exam before January 22nd. This recognition exam aims to deepen participants' appreciation of whisky by offering levels of certification that cover the diverse world of whisky knowledge.
About the Whisky Exam
The Whisky Exam features three main levels: Level 3, Level 2, and a special Irish Whisky level focused on Irish whisky specifically. Level 3 is tailored for beginners who possess fundamental knowledge of Scotch whisky, while Level 2 aims to cultivate a deeper understanding for whisky enthusiasts aiming to refine their expertise. The Irish Whisky exam covers everything from historical distilleries to modern craft distilleries, emphasizing the rich culture surrounding Irish whisky. Participants can pursue multiple levels at once or start from any level they feel comfortable with.
One of the standout features of this year's exam is its accessibility. Conducted as a 'home examination,' candidates can choose their own test times within the specified exam period. This flexibility allows busy professionals and those living far away to participate without the usual constraints.
Special Participant Bonus: Original Coasters
Each year, participants in the Whisky Exam are treated to exclusive opportune items that enhance their whisky experience, and this year is no exception. Registered candidates will receive environmentally friendly coasters made from cork, designed by renowned print artist Tomoko Watanabe. The coasters feature the iconic Macallan Distillery from Scotland and the Midleton Distillery from Ireland, with beautiful artistic renderings that capture their histories and significances.
These coasters will be shipped with the exam kits in February, complete with the exam questions and answer sheets. A fun surprise awaits as the design of the coaster received will be random, adding excitement to this unique bonus!
