KOHSHI Unveils New Store 'Pallumer' in Kyoto: A Fragrant Journey

KOHSHI's New Chapter: Pallumer Opens in Kyoto

KOHSHI, the esteemed Maison fragrance brand hailing from Japan, has proudly opened its second direct store named 'Pallumer' on March 22nd in the heart of Kyoto, following the flagship store in Daikanyama. This new location pays homage to Kyoto's rich culture while embracing the concept of coexistence between ruggedness and delicateness, a theme that resonates deeply with the brand's core values.

KOHSHI was founded by master perfumer Hidenori Matsuno, who has been creating exquisite scents for over two decades. The Pallumer store is designed to encapsulate this duality, showcasing a space that is as much about scent as it is about aesthetic experience. The rawness of exposed concrete and the bold presence of heavy black leather contrast beautifully with lighter elements such as white ash lattices and glass containers that shimmer with the allure of the fragrances within.

At Pallumer, customers can explore an extensive selection of over 80 unique fragrances. Among these, the enchanting 'absinthe fraise' combines the allure of absinthe with a rich strawberry sweetness, while 'anthology' captures the warm, opulent essence of a jasmine field. This represents just a fraction of the enchanting storytelling found within the 'kilesa' series, which also includes seasonal favorites like 'Sakura', evoking strolls under cherry blossom trees, and 'Siskin', a citrus aroma inspired by a vibrant little bird taking flight.

Moreover, KOHSHI also offers the 'L'Héritage' series that honors traditional Japanese instruments through three distinct scents inspired by the drum, biwa, and sho. Every fragrance is manifestly unique, made to suit a variety of personal tastes and occasions. The kilesa series aims to produce a total of 108 types, with new releases scheduled monthly, ensuring that the offerings remain fresh and creatively stimulating.

In addition to perfumes, Pallumer highlight products like the convenient travel-sized kilesa 10ml sizes, incense paper that carries the brand's captivating scents into the air, and fragrant room tags designed to elevate ambiance in any space. All products aim to spark passion and joy, just as the name 'Pallumer', which blends French words for 'ignite' and 'perfume', suggests.

Hidenori Matsuno, the visionary behind KOHSHI, seamlessly merges his curiosity and imagination into each scent, making every experience at Pallumer not just about fragrance, but a journey through art and culture. KOHSHI prides itself on creating perfumes that are entirely made in Japan, with careful oversight on everything from sourcing raw materials to design and production processes.
