Tokyo's 2023 Women's Empowerment Awards Now Open for Applications

Applications Open for the 2023 Tokyo Women's Empowerment Awards

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has officially announced that applications are now being accepted for the 2023 Women’s Empowerment Awards. Initiated in 2014, this prestigious award aims to acknowledge and celebrate exceptional efforts made by companies, organizations, and individuals to promote women’s active participation in society. By highlighting these progressive initiatives, the award seeks to create a community where every person can harness their individuality and shine in their own unique way.

Since its inception in 2014, the awards have seen over 400 applications and recognized more than 100 corporations, organizations, and individuals. Many laureates have reported that winning the award significantly boosted their recognition as “companies where women thrive,” leading to enhanced corporate image, improved recruitment efforts, and a shift in employee awareness. Recipients have expressed that the awards have provided an impetus to advance their initiatives further, making notable strides in empowering women.
