Oppenheimer Appoints Eric Nortman as Head of Debt Private Placements Expanding Financing Solutions for Clients

Oppenheimer's New Direction: Debt Private Placements

Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., a renowned investment bank and wealth management firm, has recently appointed Eric Nortman as the Managing Director in charge of their newly formed Debt Private Placements Group. This strategic move aims to broaden the financing capabilities available to the firm’s investment banking clients, reflecting Oppenheimer's commitment to adapt in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.

Nortman's extensive experience is expected to be a valuable asset in fulfilling this role. He will operate out of New York, reporting directly to Rob Lowenthal and Gilbert Dychiao, both Co-Heads of Investment Banking at Oppenheimer. The newly established group will primarily focus on accessing capital through the private credit market, an area witnessing increasing demand among businesses seeking flexible financial solutions without diluting ownership.

Expansion of Financing Solutions

In his new position, Eric Nortman will be instrumental in leading a team dedicated to executing private debt transactions, which includes raising funds for Oppenheimer's investment banking clientele. This initiative will further strengthen the firm’s Fixed Income division by enhancing relationships with both issuers and investors.
