Huawei Unveils AI Data Platform to Bridge Models with Business Value

During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, Huawei made waves by launching an advanced AI data platform that seeks to integrate AI model capabilities with real business value. Yuan Yuan, the president of Huawei's Data Storage Product Line, highlighted how this platform aims to tackle common challenges that enterprises face when deploying AI applications.

The new AI data platform, referred to as “3+1,” incorporates cutting-edge technologies that focus on improving inference processes and aligning AI functions with business objectives. This is crucial because many existing AI models are underutilized due to a mismatch between their capabilities and practical applications, often focusing more on training rather than deployment.

Key Features of the AI Data Platform

1. Knowledge Generation and Search: Utilizing a high-accuracy multimodal knowledge generation system, the platform transforms diverse resources into precise knowledge while maintaining a search accuracy of over 95%. This feature ensures that businesses can rely on the information for better decision-making.

2. KV Cache for Fast Inference: By employing historical memory data, the platform accelerates inference, enabling quicker and more efficient responses for AI applications. The intelligent management of the KV cache significantly extends the context window, reducing repetitive computations by 90% and enhancing the token response time.

3. Memory Extraction and Contextual Recall: The system is designed to intelligently manage and recall memory based on user interactions, making AI models progressively smarter as they are used. This capability allows these models to adapt and respond in a way that resonates with evolving business needs.

4. Unified Cache Manager (UCM): The UCM serves as a holistic management tool that oversees data throughout its lifecycle on three cache levels, ensuring that knowledge bases, KV caches, and memory banks are effectively organized.

Modes of Deployment

Huawei's AI data platform offers two primary modes of implementation:
  • - Hardware Mode: Implemented from scratch using Huawei’s OceanStor A800 systems, this mode provides unparalleled performance and scalable solutions tailored for enterprises.
  • - Independent Mode: Using a data engine architecture combined with OceanStor Dorado storage, businesses can gradually upgrade their systems without losing previous investments, making transitions smoother.

Yuan Yuan emphasized Huawei's ongoing commitment to technological innovation, stating, "We aim to transform the capabilities of AI models into real business value through this AI data platform, acting as a bridge between technology and practical application."

This transformative platform reflects Huawei’s strategic vision of ensuring that AI technology is not just a theoretical construct but a practical tool that can produce tangible benefits for businesses across multiple sectors. As companies seek to leverage AI for competitive advantage, Huawei’s new offering positions itself as a critical component in the evolution of enterprise technologies.
