Introducing New Rich Sesame Dan Dan Udon Variations and a Hefty Curry Udon Delight!

Hanamaru Udon's New Winter Delights Unveiled



Starting November 13, 2025, Hanamaru Udon, the well-known Sanuki udon chain operated by Hanamaru Co., Ltd. (based in Takamatsu, Kagawa), will launch an exciting winter menu featuring three varieties of rich sesame Dan Dan udon and a stunning “overflowing” meat curry udon that weighs nearly 1 kg! This offering will be available at locations nationwide (with some exclusions) for a limited time that stretches into early February 2026.

Rich Sesame Dan Dan Udon Varieties


1. Rich Sesame Dan Dan Udon


The highlight of the new offerings includes three variations of the rich sesame Dan Dan udon. This year, the unique homemade Dan Dan soup has been enhanced with an increased amount of nuts, elevating its richness. The base is made with a special blend of ground and roasted sesame, combined with peanut butter for a decadent taste. The chef has also added chicken fat and garlic for additional depth of flavor, creating a satisfying bowl that is rich and complex.

2. Warm Egg Gen Dan Dan Udon


The 'Warm Egg Gen Dan Dan Udon' comes topped with a soft-boiled egg, introducing a creamy and mild twist to the already flavorful dish. This pairing with soft, fluffy Sanuki udon enhances the overall experience, making each bite smooth and delectable.

3. Pork Shabu Dan Dan Udon


For meat lovers, the 'Pork Shabu Dan Dan Udon' features juicy pork belly generously atop the rich udon. The combination of savory meat miso, potent Dan Dan soup, and tender pork creates a flavor explosion that is impossible to resist.

With optional Sichuan pepper added, patrons can spice up their experience, merging aromatic freshness with a tingling sensation. Customizations like extra spicy oil or omitting it can also be requested during ordering.

The Overflowing Meat Curry Udon


Alongside the Dan Dan udon varieties, a limited number of the “Overflowing Meat Curry Udon” will be made available at each location, limited to just 15 orders per day. This dish, a hit at the newly opened Hanamaru Udon Meat Shop in Takamatsu Hyogo Town, combines two servings of udon with a hearty, spicy curry broth made from a beloved family recipe. Packed with chunky vegetables and topped with sweet-savory braised beef and crispy, juicy pork cutlet, the presentation is awe-inspiring.

Aiming to provide a fulfilling experience, this dish approaches a total weight of nearly 1 kg (approximately 950g for the medium size), making it one of the most substantial offerings in Hanamaru history. The concept promises to indulge the senses, marrying the joy of meat with the classic flavors of Sanuki udon.

These prices include tax, applicable for both dine-in and takeout. An additional fee of $0.27 will apply for takeout containers.

The new items can be enjoyed at Hanamaru Udon locations nationwide from November 13 through December 3, 2025.
