JR East's Seasonal Treats
Starting November 6, 2025, JR East will introduce two seasonal dishes at its soba shops, "Irori-an Kiraku" and "Irori-an Kiraku Soba," located in stations across the Tokyo metropolitan area. This announcement comes from the JR East Cross Station Foods Company, led by President Hirobumi Nakamata. The delightful dishes include Ebi Tempura and Cabbage Kakiage Soba and the ever-popular Curry Soba, which saw sales of over 80,000 servings last year.
Cabbage Kakiage Soba - 720 JPY (Tax Included)
Available from November to February, this dish highlights the unique sweetness of Ibaraki-prefecture cabbage, which is harvested in abundance during the winter months. The combination of tender cabbage and a rich, delicious ebi tempura ensures a hearty winter's meal. The kakiage is generously topped with fresh shrimp, delivering a delightful crunch with every bite. The dish is further enhanced by the zesty aroma of yuzu, which perfectly complements the vegetable and seafood flavors. It promises a unique taste experience available only during the winter season. Don’t miss this exclusive offering!
Curry Soba - 790 JPY (Tax Included)
The specially crafted curry sauce for this dish enhances the unique flavor of the original broth, forming a thick, rich sauce that clings beautifully to the soba noodles. The carefully balanced taste allows diners to savor both the savory depth of the broth and the comforting richness of the curry. The set comes with a soft-boiled egg and rice, making it a fulfilling meal that allows customers to enjoy every drop of the sauce. For an additional twist, adding a crispy croquette enhances the dish even further, soaking in the curry sauce and providing a perfect contrast of textures.
(Note: Prices may vary at certain locations. Customers using transportation IC cards will receive a 20 JPY discount on any item.)
