New Partnership to Brighten Children's Holidays
This year, New Yorkers have the chance to spread joy and kindness this holiday season through a new collaboration between GoLocker and Toys for Hospitalized Children (TFHC). GoLocker, a prominent access point provider in New York City, has transformed its extensive locker network into convenient drop-off sites that facilitate the collection of holiday toy donations, all aimed at benefiting hospitalized children across the nation.
Making Donations Convenient
On November 19, 2025, GoLocker officially announced that it would serve as the primary drop-off system for more than 25,000 holiday toy donations. By enabling a total of
63 locker locations throughout Manhattan, this partnership not only streamlines the donation process but also enhances community engagement during the festive season. Donors can now access a collection site within a short walking distance or while running everyday errands, removing barriers that often discourage participation in charitable activities.
A Collaborative Effort
This partnership is particularly significant as it provides much-needed toys to children who are unable to celebrate the holidays in their homes due to medical reasons. Participating hospitals, like The Children’s Hospital of Montefiore and NYU Langone - Long Island, will benefit from the influx of toys, making a crucial difference in patients' experiences. Each toy donated will be tracked using a specialized GoLocker code, ensuring a smooth and organized collection process managed by GoLocker's dedicated team, who will deliver items directly to TFHC's headquarters weekly.
Changing Dynamics in Philanthropy
Rabbi JJ Hecht II, President and Executive Director of TFHC, highlights how this collaboration fulfills a pressing need in urban communities, calling it a way to meet generosity where it truly exists – within the heart of every neighborhood. With GoLocker’s backing, the hope is that this innovative approach will encourage greater participation from the local community, ultimately raising more funds and collecting more toys than ever before.
“This partnership is a wonderful opportunity for New Yorkers to come together, giving children moments of joy and hope when they need it the most,” Hecht said.
GoLocker’s Commitment to Community
Nigel Thomas, the Founder of GoLocker, expressed pride in this new initiative, stating, "By transforming our lockers into community-focused donation sites, we are making it easier for individuals to give back during the holiday season. It reinforces our commitment to actively supporting neighborhoods."
In line with the DOT LockerNYC initiative, which introduced free, secure lockers across the city, GoLocker is continually exploring ways to adapt its services to meet community needs. The team's vision includes future initiatives that intertwine technology with social responsibility, expanding the reach of charitable efforts even further.
How to Get Involved
Starting today, individuals can sign up for a free GoLocker account and begin dropping off new, unwrapped toys at any participating location across Manhattan. The goal is to cultivate a spirit of giving by making the holiday season a little brighter for the kids who need it the most.
